As 9-1-1: Lone Star returns for Season 5 this fall on FOX, Carlos (Rafael Silva) will have much to deal with.

His life in Season 4 was marked by highs and lows. During this period, he became a married man and lost his father.

Losing his dad, Gabriel Reyes (Benito Martinez), just when they had begun to become close will surely affect the rest of his life, and marrying TK Strand (Ronen Rubinstein) will also have a similar effect.

A new image whose source has not been verified yet teases both of those as Carlos spots a concerned look on his face while TK sits behind him with his head hanging.

What is immediately visible is that Carlos has his wedding ring on.

His marriage is without issues — and we hope it stays that way — so the cause for celebration is something different.

Fans have not spent enough time with Mr. and Mr. Reyes-Strand (or Strand-Reyes; the jury’s still out on that) to get a feel of their marriage, but since they’ve been living together for a while now, much won’t change.

After all, it’s TK and Carlos, 9-1-1: Lone Star‘s it couple.

Carlos holds a phone to his ear in the hand where the shiny ring sits on his finger, teasing exchange with whoever is on the other end.

It is unclear what the conversation is about but given the mystery of Gabriel’s death has not been solved yet, it might have something to do with that.

Rob Lowe also confirmed to TV Insider that the major emergency for Season 5 is a trail derailment, and news of such information would be enough to make someone concerned.

Based on Carlos’s expression and TK’s stressed-out wait for an update from his husband (say that again: his husband), it is clear that it’s not good news.

‘9-1-1: Lone Star’ Season to Feature a Train Derailment

As with most seasons of 9-1-1 and 9-1-1: Lone Star, a major emergency kicks off the season. Season 5’s a train derailment. Lowe described it, saying,

“Well, just the scale and spectacle of the train derailment and the arduousness of shooting it . . . I love how big it looks. It looks like a movie. Yeah, I think people are going to be blown away.”

It promises to be a huge one based on some behind-the-scenes photos shared by Rubinstein on Instagram.

The 12-episode 9-1-1: Lone Star Season 5 airs on Mondays at 8 PM this fall on FOX.
